Frequently Asked Questions

While it is possible to do newborn shoots up to 6 weeks, we prefer to schedule shoots when baby is around 2 weeks old.  This is when they are most sleepy and flexible.  After 4 weeks, baby’s are more alert and may awake easily when touched or moved. 

Bring what you normally have in your diaper bag.  If you are bottle feeding, bring enough milk for several feedings. 

While we do provide access to our client closet for mom, clients are welcome to wear something from home.  Should you wish to include your partner and/or siblings(s) in the session, we will help provide wardrobe suggestions for them in our prep guide.  Keep in mind, neutral colours always work best.  White, cream, grey, and black all look great in photos.   

Typically our newborn session can be anywhere from 2-5 hours in length.  We never want our clients to feel rushed or exhausted.  Instead we hope to provide a relaxing, comfortable environment for the whole family by making sure you have time for a break and time to eat and hydrate yourself.  

A few days after your session, we will either have the viewing appointment via zoom or in-person.  You will choose your favourite images from the unedited gallery and you will receive the retouched images within two weeks.  

We only retouch your chosen images.  Once you have purchased your favourite images, we will professionally retouch each image.  Don’t worry about extra weight or skin imperfections as will will edit your images with utmost care and attention to detail. At the same time, we will also try to keep it as natural as possible.  Our goal is to produce beautiful images that you and your family will love over generations! 

Once editing has been completed and you have approved of the edits, we will order your products.  You will receive your product(s) within 4-8 weeks depending on how busy the lab is.
